I decided to see Judy Collins at a great venue simply for something different and someone named "Lucy Kaplansky" was on the bill. My friend thought she was a comedian. I downloaded a few songs of Lucy and the rest is history. Funny thing is that Lucy was scratched from the show with Judy but I was hooked anyway and have seen her 4 times in the last year and one half. I then began exploring other artists that played with or was associated with Lucy and soon I was hooked on Dar Williams, Richard Shindell and Patty Larkin. Check them out "rock guy"! And yes, Lucy is quite giving after her concerts and will hang around signing cds and talking with everyone who will listen. At one concert after it was concluded, I spent about 10 minutes with her aunt, hearing stories about Lucy. At another concert, my wife and I were the first to arrive at the venue and while we waited Lucy strolled by and spoke with us at length. She is one of the nicest performers to come around. Take care all. Michael G - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Doug Fuller" To: Sent: Wednesday, January 21, 2004 11:46 PM Subject: Re: [lucy-list] New list member > I'll be sure to report back in.
