I was checking out some clips online for the website and came across this website for this ?religious? show called New Morning on the Hallmark Channel. They seem to have featured Lucy extensively over the past 2 years. Has anyone caught any of these shows? It's on at like 7 in the morning every morning. This website has some clips from her performances. (I Had Something and Land of the Living don't seem to work but the other three are great...if anyone can get the others to work coudl you send me it please?) http://www.newmorningtv.tv/singer_song.jsp Oh yes...and my email from earlier today doesn't seem to be going through...hopefully this one does. If you haven't recieived the other email it was just to let everyone know that the website has been updated wiith lots of new music clips! Just head to www.lucykaplansky.net and click on Archive, then Sounds...there are 6 Pre-Tide clips and 3 newer ones (the link is at the top of the page). - -K _________________________________________________________________ Tired of slow downloads? Wow, Kristen! What an amazing find! I'm truly surprised we've never known anything about this on the list (as far as I can remember). I guess maybe since they're short pieces and it's an obscure-ish cable channel, Lucy wouldn't have had reason to particularly plug these little songs/interviews (she sings, then stops in the middle to talk about the song...although I'm not quite sure if she's really stopping or if it's just clever editing). But she's not exactly on TV every day, and these clips (the ones that work...I, too, have no luck with I Had Something or Land of the Living) are great. Especially A Child's Hands---she says something about "When I play this in front of an audience..." and I came close to arguing aloud to the computer screen: "But you NEVER play this in front of an audience!" I suppose she has at some point, but A Child's Hands is one of a handful of Lucy songs I have never, EVER heard live---when it's been requested at shows I've attended, Lucy has said something to the effect that she couldn't manage the guitar part well enough to pull it off. Of course, she totally has the right not to play anything she doesn't feel comfortable playing live, but it sure looked on that video clip as if she and only she was playing the guitar, and it sounded GREAT! Anyway, that was so nice...a free mini Lucy concert on a frigid January night. Thanks for pointing it out, Kristen!
