Gorka said no, but he had gotten an email from Lucy when they were in China, saying they'd met Molly and were preparing to bring her home. John Platt said he thought he'd gotten the same email. When asked, Gorka said, predictably but sweetly, that his childrearing advice to Lucy would be "Love them, because they're not little for long!" Anyway, of course this wasn't news, but it was nice to hear. I'm wondering when Lucy's next email update to her fans will be and hoping it will contain at least a LITTLE more than a list of upcoming shows...she starts performing again a month from Sunday, so hopefully we don't have TOO long to wait! Benay ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 10 Dec 2003 06:24:49 -0800 From: "Susan Krauss" Subject: RE: [lucy-list] newspaper Lucy mention The SF Chronicle has a music column every week in the Sunday Entertainment "Pink Pages" (and yes they're really printed on pink paper)....they usually promote upcoming interesting shows (the first mention of Joan Baez's five day run at the Bottom Line several years ago was in this column). This week they mentioned Lucy's upcoming Berkeley show on March 11, 2004. While we get some east coast folkies only once a year or every-other-year, one of the advantages of Lucy's parents living in Berkeley is that we get her once or twice a year. Bay area Lucy-heads, mark your calendars. And since Benay mentioned John Gorka, I saw him Saturday night and have been listening to his new CD a lot. Lucy's harmonies, especially on "Always" are exquisite. susan in alameda ------------------------------ End of lucy-list-digest V5 #233 ******************************* This has been a posting from the Lucy Kaplansky mail list digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe lucy-list-digest" in the body of the message
