My question: I certainly hope that the students at Hoover High were indeed focused. But that's not what I've come to believe about students in American in general (check the teen mags the next time you're waiting in line at Wal Mart, and you'll get a quick education about current teen culture--in particular, that education is about the last thing on their minds). Her comparison of American and British students begs the question: if American students are this focused and well-behaved, I can only fear for what they might be like on the other side of the pond. Steve Gilmore Charlotte, NC USA The students at Hoover High have been a joy, Matthews said. "They're much better behaved than in England," she said. The students here seen to be more focused on their work and know the consequences for not making good grades, she said. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
