Which made me think about the fact that her U.K. tour ISN'T happening this year...which means Lucy's European fans are missing out on live performances for quite a while...and apparently everyone is being stoical and not complaining. Big Un-snip --- I think that that kind of dawned on us on this side of the pond REALLY QUICKLY after we heard the baby news. However I doubt that any of us are going to want Lucy to put motherhood on hold whilst she flew over and sang to us. I suppose that we can console ourselves with the thought that the Irish side of their family will need to be introduced to baby Molly at some point in the future and maybe we will get a few gigs at the same time. Or maybe we should drop some hints about Shawn Colvin bringing her daughter on UK tour with her and even having her on stage to sing for the audience on at least one occasion... :-) Wishing the new family well, Jeremy ******************************************************************** This email and any attachments are confidential to the intended recipient and may also be privileged. Have to say, I do wish she'd have left Callie in the wings! > I suppose that we can console > ourselves with the thought that the Irish side of their family > will need to be introduced to baby Molly at some point in the > future and maybe we will get a few gigs at the same time. Sounds like a plan! Then Kay and I can get that "something special" she promised for the first time she saw us after our wedding! :-) Dave. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 4 Nov 2003 22:05:10 -0500 From: "Hugh Polland" Subject: [lucy-list] Lucy singing on network T.V. It had to be Dar. No, I didn't see it myself, but had it been Lucy, two things would have been true, based on Murphy's Law as applied to Lucy's Songs in TV Shows, as evidenced by the alleged playing of a Lucy song some time ago on an episode of _Ed_: 1. She would have been talking about it onstage weeks in advance, and 2. It wouldn't have made the list right after the broadcast, because NOBODY---neither Lucy nor anyone else she could track down---would have actually ended up SEEING it! :-) Benay ------------------------------ End of lucy-list-digest V5 #218 ******************************* This has been a posting from the Lucy Kaplansky mail list digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe lucy-list-digest" in the body of the message
