Don't think I could've done any better myself, even with a pen. I THOUGHT of you all while the show was happening last night...glad it was such a good one. And I'm so happy for Lucy and Rick about their adoption plans...it's worth having the Peekskill show cancelled for such a joyous reason! Benay keeping busy dodging a rottweiler in Tucson...OK, it's a happy, friendly rottweiler... but a happy, friendly rottweiler who leaps into bed with you at 4:30 a.m. and wants to follow you around and lick you the rest of the time is still a rottweiler, particularly when one is Very Afraid of Large Dogs... - -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ . ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 6 Sep 2003 18:30:38 -0400 From: "Michael Guarnaccio" Subject: [lucy-list] OUTPOST IN THE BURBS I too was at the show and Sharon did a magnificent job outlining the evening in her earlier email. It was a great, great show and Lucy was, as Sharon stated, both joyful and teary. Her voice sounded angelic and reminds me why so many performers request Lucy to sing harmony with them. The new songs were terrific. The New York subway song will become one of Lucy's most popular songs. Lucy mentioned during the show that after Genevieve was played on the radio more people began showing up at her concerts; The same will happen when the subway song hits the air waves - it will have that impact -Lucy and her husband have penned a powerful song.
