I didn't want to say it last night...but I'll say it now: Doesn't that suggested sequel title sound a tad obscene? <:-) In any event, yes, let's lay off of Scott and let him do what he does best----write great articles for the Boston Globe and Sing Out and other music publications. I'm slowly finishing up Deep Community, the most enjoyable book I've read this summer. I've been savoring it, not wanting it to end. I started it Sunday night after FRFF climbing into a real bed after a real shower. I stopped along the Burlington waterfront during my early morning walks to read a chapter or two. I read it in Chicago when our flight was delayed. And I have been enjoying many a summer afternoon and early evening reading it on my deck. Scott is a really great writer who has managed to compile an anthology of his writings that holds together thematically as a single text. I'm sure this was a difficult process, but the end result is a great read on a subject dear to our hearts. Any folk fan should be grateful to Scott. Buy this book if you haven't yet. (Almost) But recently one of you Statesiders gave us a heads up that Dar was doing at least one gig over here but that is wasn't listed on her website. Well she's doing a lot more than one and none of them are listed on her website!! Do they think we don't use the 'net over here? Here's the gig list with apologies to the list for intruding but also to make sure those Lucy / Dar fans over here don't miss out!
