I got your package today :o) I'm listening to Lucy while I type. My speakers are misbehaving though. I have a vibration when Lucy hits certain notes. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Say, did you happen to go camping elsewhere in NH recently? I have a friend who lives in NH and I tried to get him go to Great Waters, but he didn't because they had a family camping trip planned. Anyway, he emailed me that he and said that he met a Lucy fan who had been there in the next campsite. I was just wondering if it was you? They are Steve and Karen Murphy with a young boy and girl. Thanks again. I'll be happily sending you some disks soon. When will I ever learn? I'm not sure why I am doing this, but I promise to check, double check and triple check from now on. So, did any of you meet the Murphy's camping in New Hampshire? I haven't had much to say Lucy-wise since Falcon Ridge, obviously. Actually, I had a scary experience this week: I realized that I had no idea where Lucy was touring right now and hadn't listened to a Lucy song or had a single real Lucy-related thought in...DAYS! I thought I must be ill. But then I found myself preparing for a weekend trip and, as ever, unable to leave a single one of my Lucy CDs behind despite the scarcity of space in my CD travel case...and I realized my appreciation of Lucy remained completely intact. Just a temporary lull in the Lucy-related mental action. Phew. Actually, I just had my fifth anniversary at my company (the powers that be kindly give a little gift to acknowledge that you've stuck it out that long, which is the only reason I know) and thought about how it was not that long after I started my current stint with the company that a coworker came by my desk and said hey, did you know that Dar Williams person you like is doing this band thing with that guy Richard Shindell and oh-yeah-this-other-woman-Lucy-something-I-think-haven't-heard-of-her? And it all began from there. So it is sort of, kind of, almost, my fifth...Lucyversary. Let's see, how to celebrate? Oh, what the heck, maybe I'll go wild and, say, listen to some music by...Lucy! Benay still working almost all the time...what was the fortnight from hell last year is the full month from hell this year...but finally starting to see SOME light at the end of that tunnel that is not an oncoming train... ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 7 Aug 2003 23:39:12 -0700 From: "Gina" Subject: Re: [lucy-list] brief random commentary Lucyversary? Someone posted about FRFF on the John Gorka list. He was describing the wonderful Gorkaplansky sound. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Benay Bubar" To: Sent: Thursday, August 07, 2003 9:15 PM Subject: [lucy-list] brief random commentary > Well, I don't know, perhaps we should all post our personal correspondence > to the Lucy-list...then I'd be sure of having something to read this month > besides work stuff! > > I haven't had much to say Lucy-wise since Falcon Ridge, obviously.
