Of course she couldn't Ummmmmmmm... 10 days???? WOW... that's FAST!!!! That gives new meaning to the idea of WONDER WOMAN... :) But then hey... it's Lucy. Should we expect less? *grin* Libby (whose album took much longer than 10 days.... and who will seriously weep if it takes any longer than a few weeks more!) ===== - ----------- libbywiebel@yahoo.com http://www.libbywiebel.com "I was born in Normal Town, south of Rural Village, near Family Ground..." It's OK, Libby---remember, the 10 days was presumably just the SINGING part! It really doesn't sound as if, after 10 days, Lucy's got thousands of ready-to-go CDs hoarded in her apartment and is laughing maniacally at our inability to procure them before next year! (Although it's kind of a funny image.) :-) Benay - -------------------------------------------------------------------- mail2web - Check your email from the web at http://mail2web.com/ . ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 01 Jul 2003 11:12:37 -0400 From: Donna Myers Subject: [lucy-list] Lucy in Bridgeport 6/29 Thanks for the great review Benay! It indeed was a wonderful show....in my top 5 Lucy shows(my husband always makes me rate Lucy shows). I love the Acoustic Cafe! It is probably my favorite venue and a 2 hour drive from NJ(my Mom lives 20mins away to help with babysitting). As Benay said, it is a cozy place with candles on each table, string lights and beads(reminds me of my Grateful Dead days). They have great munchies and a wonderful selection of beer and tea . They also have great artists playing there. Jim Boggia from Philadelphia was the opener. I thought he was good. He only played a couple of songs which was appropriate in my opinion. Lucy was perfect!! She was completely relaxed and in fine voice. It was a treat to hear the great mix of songs. The two new songs, "The Thread" and "Promised Land" are wonderful. It's always great to hear Lucy on the keyboard. I wonder if the keyboard will make an appearance on the new cd....I hope so!! I'll be at FRFF with husband and children. Where is the Lucy-list wine & cheese party????
