The BOT scene sounds great, but a pretty good hike to the stages. We'd kinda like to have the car close by too.<<< I don't wanna sound too much like a salesman here but, if you can tolerate sleeping in a slightly non-horizontal position, Dar-Camp-Dar is the place for you. It is situated midway between The Big Orange Tarp (at the top of the hill) and the cars and stages (at the bottom of the hill). You guessed it! That means you must camp ON the hill. It's also the closest thing to a Kamp Kaplansky that we've got. You can usually get your car withing 20-50 yards of your tent but then you may lose the freedom to move it at will. Look forward to meeting! Apparently there are worries about cars possibly slipping and killing the people below... Its never happened so I think that's a worry that need not be thought about... But That's what I heard and I sorta believe it.. Don't want to post it to the dar list though... you know what they do to the messenger. ~simona ===== Simona L. In addition to the usual amenities such as ground to sleep on and a sky to look at, there is a spaghetti dinner the night before the day the festival begins, a solar shower, a battery-powered blender to make margueritas, gin-and-tonics, and such other menu fare as Jersey corn on the cob, Korean beef, veggie chili, blueberry pancakes; there are plans this year to have a portable fireplace. And there is lots of great music and camaraderie! Deb *Nields Nook also doubles occasionally as a hangout for Pete & Maura Kennedy, Cadence Carroll and We're About 9. ===== This I have learned: Because we can, we must try to change the world -- fully, wisely, restlessly. -- Rudy Nemser == Life is such a changing art. -- Dar Williams == __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
