Anyone have a suggestion of an album to listen to before going to see this concert? I'm not at all familiar with her music but would like to be before I pack up a picnic and go to see this performance. ~Simona ===== Simona L. I'd say anything from "King's Record Shop" on, although my personal favorite is "The Wheel." We had seven weeks of weather like that through March and April, but were rewarded with a gloriously sunny and green May with wildflower displays unlike any I have seen in my 17 springs in northern CA. My hope is that a wet spring in New York will lead to a drier summer and that the four days at FRFF will be sunny and clear, highs in the mid 70's to low 80's and a light warm breeze. Hey, I can dream can't I? Got this note in an e-mail from a friend who produces shows locally: >>>>Lucy Kaplansky with Nina Gerber: Friday, September 19 at Clo's Parkside Grill in Santa Rosa. Lucy and Nina have become too popular to host them at the Powerhouse, so we're moving the show to Clo's in Santa Rosa. Ticket information will be available soon. After a few sellout shows at The Powerhouse with numerous people clamoring for last minute tickets (myself included), Lucy is moving to a bigger venue here in Sonoma County. Clo's is essentially an ice cream parlor/barbecue joint that has a large performance space in the back of the building. I've never seen live music there and am not even sure what types of acts it draws, but I'm sure hoping the seats are more comfortable than those at the Powerhouse.
