zev katz is currently on tour with the suzanne vega band.. her "regular" 
bassist is in the dar williams band.. suzanne is doing a series of supporting 
show to her New
release RETROSPECTIVE
she is in great voice and her choice of pieces was outstanding.. 
it was neat to hear Queen and the soldier.she didnt play calypso..

Suzanne's music represents so much but also that period of time when
the singer/songwriter of the 80s were such an interesting group in the 
village
the breakout artists.. (commerically were suzanne and the roches)
you can hear an influence and a style that you also hear in the music of 
lucy kaplansky.. so there are some similarities and a shared time and space
and Billy Masters was her guitarists from the crycrycry band.. 

see this suzanne show.. she is stupendous...
