New York IS home--or would be if I could find a software job there. I arrived back in Virginia today. I think I've only seen Lucy at Wolf Trap once--her performances there always seem to be on, or around, Passover. Btw, I now understand why WFUV wants a better broadcast tower. I was out Friday and brought my plug-in-your-ear radio planning to listen to Lucy on Mountain Stage at two o'clock. But, at least on West 23rd Street, WFUV was nowhere to be heard. (Coincidentally I passed by the half-built new tower, just off Southern Boulevard not far from the Bronx Zoo, yesterday.) You'll like this list. I know you all discussed this topic b4, but I think a list is called-for. Songs We think are Definitely going on Lucy's next album: 1. Cowboy Singer 2. Land of the Living 3. This is Home 4. "The new 'Thread' song" O.K., I'm back in rainy Eugene, Oregon after a wonderful visit with lots of family in NY. Hadn't been home in a long time so I was excited. You can take the girl out of New York, but you can't take New York outta the girl! I am now the proud owner of approximately twenty-five (25) pounds of homemade Passover food from NY: Brisket, meatballs, potato kuegal, cookies, and last, but not least, frozen matza balls. I do believe I could pitch in the World Series with these matza balls right now! I am excited to have reconnected with my 25 yr. old niece who lives in studio apt on 5th avenue. Now, I plan to go stay with her and party in the city! Which, of course, means go see Lucy in the city! Perhaps, take in a Broadway play or concert at Lincoln Center, too (my cousin Debbie writes symphonies that are performed there). (Since, we're on the subject, my cousin Roger is the editor-in-chief of Mother Jones magazine). I won't be travelling back to NY for awhile, but, definitely not going to take such a long time this time between visits. Anyhow, perhaps, i can meet some of you Lucy-listers at a NY Lucy show sometime in the future when I visit. Meanwhile, I am going to the two Lucy Eugene, Oregon shows (same night), with Richard Shindell), in mid-May, plus, I think I will drive the measley two hrs. to Portland, Oregon to see Lucy at Portland Art Museum the next night. Sarah, you should e-mail me, please, personally off the list & we can discuss tickets and how about a Seattle Road trip to see Lucy the night following the Portland show?
