I've been busy shovelling the snow and retrieving the kid's winter jackets, boots and gloves that were all put away!! The show on Sat in Media, PA with Lucy and Richard was wonderful. My husband and I took four newbies and they all raved about the show. It was at the Media Theatre which was beautiful and had great sound. I didn't write a setlist....it was almost the same as the shows in Owings Mills, MD and Harrisonburg, VA. Lucy and Richard did sing, "Sin City", "The Kid" and "Farewell to St.Delores" as encores and the crowd gave them a standing ovation!! Lucy's new song, "The Thread" is beautiful. I'll agree with Benay that it would make a great title for Lucy's new cd. I love when Lucy and Richard sing together!! They sound wonderful and look like they are having so much fun. It was a great show. Donna ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 8 Apr 2003 10:01:49 -0700 (PDT) From: Libby Wiebel Subject: [lucy-list] Regarding All of the Above... :) Hey there! I know Benay's covered the details, but I thought I'd throw in my 2-cents on the Lucy-full weekend... First off, Benay is a wonderful houseguest. Host her whenever you can. We believe she is currently the first in line for the "I traveled the most miles to see Lucy" annual award... even with her lack of car. C'mon, folks... let's help get her to CA... or Chicago... or Florida! Benay needs to travel!! :) And... she is also a goddess for coming down to see me play at the Cherry Blossom Festival. The blossoms were in full bloom, and we got to be outside on the last warm day of the festival. I had a lot of fun, and the fact that I had a groupie coming down from NYC... wow... I felt like a rock star! Lucy Thursday night in MD... great show. But wow.... Harrisonburg on Sunday.... WOW. Awesome show. Everything was *perfect*.... and both Benay and I commented that it was even worth the car-sickness.... which, believe me, was no minor ordeal. Next time we get the idea of taking a mini-van at top speed through the Shenandoah area... ummmm.... remind me to **just say no**. And... Benay is truly a master of the guitar. I'm surprised that she hasn't written a second song already... but then maybe that has to do with the lack of guitar at her house. :) And just for kicks... other highlights of the weekend were... introducing Benay to "The Sims"... getting to share an excellent bottle of Riesling with Simona... getting pulled over when I wasn't in the driver's seat... trying a few sweet potato fries... It was really a good time. Unfortunately, I am home sick today with the FLU! I haven't had the flu since I was like 12... but alas... that's what it is. So I have my feet up, my laptop appropriately on my lap, 7-Up and saltines by my side, and "Amelie," Susan Werner, and Harry Potter all lined up in the DVD player. Thanks so much for all the CD-preorders. Just a few more along the way, and with my tax refund, I'll be able to pay for the mastering and duplication without going into the red. Whooo hooo! Benay got to hear pieces of the album this weekend, and I think we're all excited. I haven't seen Lucy in 7 months *gasp* *shock* *horror* and if I could get a good seat I'd definitely drive the 9 hours. All that's left is the balcony for the night show and the day show is sold out. - -Kristen _________________________________________________________________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 8 Apr 2003 21:34:15 -0500 From: "Richard Hill" Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Lucy In Chicago Kristen, there's not a bad seat in the house. Really! The back of the balcony is something like 40' from the performer. It's a VERY nice room! ~Richard - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kristen Myshrall" To: Sent: Tuesday, April 08, 2003 9:20 PM Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Lucy In Chicago > Does anyone happen to have an extra floor seat for either of the shows?
