Did anyone record it? I was all set to record from noon to 1 since that was about the time Lucy was scheduled... The interview/performance with Russ Borris, Assistant Music Director at WFUV, ran about 25 minutes. Lucy sang three songs live: "Written on the Back of His Hand", "This is Home" and a Joni Mitchell cover. (I didn't recognize the song). Lucy played piano on that one and said it's the first time she's ever played piano on the radio. If anyone wants a tape copy, send me an e-mail direct. The Joni cover was a stunning cover of "Willy" from my favorite Joni album, "Ladies of the Canyon". Absolutely beautiful, it's a gorgeous song for Lucy's voice, she played the piano part wonderfully (albeit with a slight hesitation here and there), and she didn't even forget the words! I've also got a tape copy that's going to get into Benay's hands on Sunday night (though she claims to have a fuzzy copy of her own), and folks can also mail me off-list if they'd like a copy or a transcription of the words. You're on your own for a transcription of the music. :-) - -Todd ------------------------------ End of lucy-list-digest V5 #67 ****************************** This has been a posting from the Lucy Kaplansky mail list digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe lucy-list-digest" in the body of the message
