Like Dar Williams http://launch.yahoo.com/artist/default.asp?>artistID=1029216 John Prine http://search.launch.yahoo.com/search/lsearch/video?p=john+prine Nanci Griffith http://search.launch.yahoo.com/search/lsearch/all?p=nanci+griffith You'll need a (free) Yahoo ID for most of it, but I expect most people already have one. There is limited Lucy content, but still good to see her listed: http://launch.yahoo.com/artist/default.asp?artistID=1013936 Matt - --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. I did get just far enough, though, to see that their Lucy fan page appears to postulate (to my considerable amusement) that fans of Lucy Kaplansky also like, among others, Guns 'n Roses, 'N Sync, and Nirvana. I didn't check to see because I doubted it, but I couldn't help imagining what might happen if THOSE groups' Yahoo Launch pages recommended Lucy Kaplansky and caused, say, a bunch of ardent 'N Sync fans to show up at a Lucy gig and get REALLY confused ("Hey, there's only one of her and she doesn't even dance!"). However, speaking of things that are free to watch...it occurred to me that no one here has yet plugged this one: there's a Joni Mitchell tribute at Symphony Space here in NYC on Saturday, March 22 starting at 11 a.m., and Lucy is listed (on her schedule) as appearing in it at around 1 p.m. It looks like a huge event---"hundreds of artists," gushes the Symphony Space web page---so, granted, there probably won't be MUCH of Lucy. But she'll be there, and it's FREE! For those who can't be there, the Joni Mitchell tribute is apparently going to be broadcast on WFUV as well. And, semi-interesting sidenote: for those in New York, the addition of this Lucy appearance makes it theoretically possible, with some liberal use of commuter rails, to see Lucy perform four times in three days---Rahway, NJ (3/21); Symphony Space (3/22); West Long Branch, NJ (3/22); and Stony Brook, NY (3/23). (Come on, Benay, no one would really DO that!... Well, um, actually...) Not heard of 'N Sync, but I have Guns 'n Roses CDs and Nirvana. I was a very big fan of the former through my teenage years, and their CDs still get regular spins. >and caused, say, a bunch of ardent 'N Sync fans to show up at >a Lucy gig and >get REALLY confused ("Hey, there's only one of her and she doesn't even >dance!").
