My computer went down with the Northern CA storms. Lucy was here in podunk Crescent City, CA on December 10th. She did sing the scottish song (I don't know the title) and it was great. I am from KY originally and have been listening to her since 1998. I ended up here after traveling the West Coast as a travel nurse. We live in a small coastal town right on the Oregon border, she performed in the local middle school. I was so happy to sit front row center. I have all her CD's and she is even better live. I was so pleased that she traveled all the way up the coast to our extremely small town. I've seen her twice in Moundridge KS (pop. 1593). I think it's fantastic that artists who create such wonderful and beautiful music are willing and able to share it with those of us out in the sticks. Of course, I'm trying to figure out how to see Steve Earle soon (and he ain't playing nowhere near here). I saw his video for Jerusalem on VH1 this morning. Big surprise. - -- Matt Pankratz http://www.mattyp.net > Hi, > I am new to the list. My computer went down with the Northern CA > storms. This of course is not true of Lucy and it was a wonderful show a few weekends ago. I can relate to your pleasure of having "the presence" in your own backyard. Being a middle school teacher who has shared Lucy with my students with tremendous success, I have to ask if there were many of that age group in the audience? Stay in touch with us on the list. Then I hear this song "High on the Mountain." Hmm, sounds a lot like Lucy, I think. The song goes on and I think, "this has got to BE Lucy." The CD jacket says it's the "Wayfaring Strangers." Does anyone know about Lucy's involvement with this group?
