A co-worker just brought around a box of "KrispyKreme" donuts (new to this area, but old news to the Dar List), which has inspired me to wax romantic about the other "treats" from the northeast I've been enjoying lately. (takes bite of donut) In the course of a week, I have been treated to Kris Delmhorst performing with band, Erin McKeown with band, a short Colleen Sexton solo set, and the Martin Sexton quartet: Martin playing guitar, bass, and doing vocals all at once...plus one drummer. (Not kidding! If you couldn't see the stage you would have sworn it was at least three, maybe four people!) And it WAS tough to see the stage as they pulled out the chairs for both nights and had everybody had to stand and crowd the stage, like a bar. A surprise, yes, but it gave the booty swing-ability. It's been so quiet on the List, I thought Lucy must be on vacation or somethin'. But NO! She is playing Philadelphia and beyond this weekend, right? Please anyone out there, report something! While sipping my pint I spot that the "malt of the week" , that's malt as in whisky and not whiskey please ! , is Auchentoshan (as in "famous" whisky faux pas in Dec 2001) and as I order one what comes on the cd jukebox is Scottish crap (personal opinion) band Runrig singing "Loch Lomond" Another Lucy moment !
