I sent this to the list a couple of weeks back : >>Also, for those who enjoyed Alice Peacock on Lucy's UK tour >>last Christmas, check out her free acoustic EP previewing >>her new album at www.awarestore.com. $10 to post it to the UK. $10 works out at about 7 pounds these days which is a lot to post 1 CD but they do have a reasonable selection of other artists so you could tie it in with buying another album. Alternately take your chances and wait until the new album is out in August, order it direct and hope there are still EPs left. A UK music dealer at a CD Fair could well charge 7 pounds for a 5 track promo CD single - or am I just trying to justify spending the money? The EP has acoustic versions of the following songs. It is a bit vague if these are the actual versions that will be on the album : I'll Start With Me Imagination Bliss I'll Be The One (which was on the first album but this is a very different slower version) Alabama Boy I agree with Robert in that Imagination sounds more radio friendly but I would say that my favourite would be Bliss which she may have played in Scotland at the end of last year since it sounded vaguely familiar. Lucy has a full fall schedule .. so offer her support and she will have a commuter relationship for a semester.. and what a commute that will be... NY to UK...it can be a long weekend for sure... this post was cleared with the subject.. prior to posting... i think... sharon ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 25 Jun 2002 22:10:59 -0700 From: "Susan Krauss" Subject: [lucy-list] Sherman Alexie I just saw Sherman Alexie's new movie and I can't for the life of me figure out where Lucy and Dar would fit in. Maybe he was writing a different movie when he asked them to be in it. I'll try to ask Lucy (or Rick) this weekend at the Kate Wolf Festival this weekend. susan in alameda ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 26 Jun 2002 07:30:32 +0100 From: "donald.anderson" Subject: [lucy-list] Lucy UK Dates - Scottish Show Latest info is that Lucy will appear in Glasgow on Sunday 6th October at St Andrew's In The Square , which is a brilliant venue being an old church with excellent acoustics I believe that tickets are/will be available via the box office at The Royal Concert Hall Info came from Ian Buchan who hasn't yet resubsrcibed to the list following a pc upgrade I'm delighted about this as Liz and I already have tickets for her Sat show in West Houghton , Near Bolton , and can catch her again on the way home on the Sunday night Looking forward to a reunion of the Scottish listers !
