I know I'm a few days late with my review... but I've been battling a nasty head cold and haven't felt like being upright since Saturday night (post concert). Thankfully it faded today so I could go to work! Normally the Ram's Head is not one of my fave venues... the seats are reserved and weird and the kitchen staff is loud... I don't much care for the (overpriced) menu... and well... it's a long way away. BUT... Lucy was there, and so thus was I. And might I say, what a phenomenal concert!!! Setlist: I Had Something End of the Day Don't Mind Me Broken Things Ten Year Night Secret Journey Five in the Morning Loch Lomond This is Mine - --- break --- He Things I Still Care Scorpion One Good Reason Written on the Back of His Hand This Is Home Land of the Living Dad's ABC Song Just You Tonight (on piano) Someday Soon By Way of Sorrow - --- encores --- The Tide It Ain't Me Babe Highlights of the evening included... * The Irish Whiskey/Scotch discussion which escalated into someone ordering Lucy an Irish Whiskey which she brought on stage with her for the second set... * The two newest songs... which continue to amaze me... I was surprised, but glad she started with "I Had Something" * The bug story... Thanks Benay for the preview! * Lucy dedicated Five in the Morning to me! I was so shocked and honored and just cried through it! * Just You Tonight on piano was SOOOO beautiful.... * RICK... :) Yes, Rick was there... and some of us enjoy seeing him about as much as we enjoy seeing Lucy! Wardrobe included the black leather shirt and brown leather pants. Lucy commented on how it mightn't have been the most brilliant move to wear all leather in the hot weather... And also mentioned that Rick said that she looked kind of like a seal! :) Anyway... it was a GREAT night... and I'll go back to the Ram's Head ANYTIME for Lucy. :) And now... the next Lucy adventure... will include (I'm sure) a travelogue... Keep posted... same station... some time in the future. :) Take care, all!
