Actually, from a quick listen to the website at work earlier today, it does nothing new with the song. In fact, the acoustic guitar seems (to my sub-Ron G ears) almost note-for-note what Lucy plays, right down to the hammer ons. I'm a firm believer that if you're going to record a cover version of a song, you need to stamp your personality on it in some way. The Alice Band appear to have gone for the carbon copy option.
