In 'Song for Sharon' Joni went across (with a belly full of cars) to buy a mandolin - from the Mandolin Bros store, I imagine. Ever been there? They have some beautiful instruments illustrated on their website - http://www.mandoweb.com/ your acrossthepondpal Paul PS. Are you (or anyone) going to Kerville this weekend? If so, please try to say hello to a Canadian friend of mine, Rick Scott, from 'Pied Pumkin' (they're on early Friday evening, I think) and ask him to play his song 'Angels Do' for me. Rick tells a great story about being picked up by Joni when he was hitch-hiking up the Vancouver (Sechelt) coast in the early seventies - and how his friend, JR Stone, who was hitching with him, made her a beautiful mountain dulcimer. ------------------------------ End of lucy-list-digest V4 #119 ******************************* This has been a posting from the Lucy Kaplansky mail list digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe lucy-list-digest" in the body of the message
