OK... this is waaaaayyy off topic. But... if there are any Welsh listers out there who might be able to help me, I'd really appreciate it! I recall this Girl Scout song we used to sing.... and I remember that when we sang it, it was a round, and the words _sounded_ like "rose in fra froon".... So... I was online looking to see if I could find it... because now.... I'd like to know what we were actually singing about. So.... I came across these lyrics... and I don't know #1 if it's what I'm thinking of or #2 what they mean or #3 if they're really even Welsh at all (though that's my best guess). It's "Rosen fra Fyn". So.... #1 --- how do you pronounce that? And #2 --- what does it mean? And #3 --- could it possibly be the same lyric I'm thinking of from being 10 and sitting around a camp fire? Just as a silly note... when we tried to teach it to some of the younger girl scouts, they got tripped up and started singing "frozen raccoon..." Anyway.... back to work. Anyone help down my little trip down Girl Scout lane would be appreciated! :) And pardon me if I'm embarrassing myself... and those really aren't Welsh lyrics... or it really means something awful... or if our pronunciation was way off... or if the frozen raccoon thing offends... :) I believe I'm starting to sound like EFO's "stupid American".... We just sang "make new friends, but keep the old..." I never sang about frozen raccoons, which is odd because I was a Girl Scout in Wisconsin. Speaking of which, I saw Lou and Peter Berryman, also from Wis, and they had a song about cheese. I was thinking about you Libby.
