It was wonderful, of course. I don't do set lists, but she played a long show. There were 2 encores. By audience request "My Name Joe" "Broken Things" "Song for Molly" She was joined by Matt Castionis (I still don't know exactly how to spell his name) for several songs. He is truly an awesome guitar and mandolin player. The concert was held in church in the event hall. Lucy made the comment that she had never played in a church that had a disco ball. We all looked up and there it was, a disco ball. It was pretty funny. Later in the show, when Matt was on stage, there was this sort of pause and then all of a sudden, the disco ball started turning and there were the reflections everywhere. It was a scream. Then Matt went into his John Travolta pose and started playing "Staying Alive." But the best part was when he started singing in falsetto. The audience started clapping to a disco beat and Lucy sang a round of harmony. But then she said stopped the whole thing. She looked at Matt and said, "How in the hell did you know the words to that?" Matt said, "Things go in and they don't go out. I don't know, you're the shrink" Lucy did Loc Lomand (forgive the spelling) and told the Irish Whiskey story. She told a story about her day in LA trying to do real Southern California things. She told the story of how her parents knew many of the people in the book version of "A Beautiful Mind" and about her parents "twisted courtship" when she sang the alphabet song. She sang a few songs from Cry3 and told the story about running into Shindell in the airport. She sang "Land of the Living" and told about how she and John Gorka had just played there. She also spoke about being on TV and being scared to death being interviewed by Bryant Gumble. It was a wonderful evening. She was great. The audience was great. She was again surprised that people were familiar with her new album. She said, "You know who I am. I never assume that." All and all it was an excellent concert. Lucy was having a good hair day and as always was just adorable, gracious, talented...
