Guess we'll have to catch the re-run. I do!!! At Ashland, I said "no it didn't" when she said it was on. How embarrassing. :-) Anyway, I missed it, so it must have been REALLY in the background. What night does "Ed" air? I've been checking my TV listing and checking it twice....and can never find "Ed". Last night there was a promo for "Ed" and I believe it airs on Wed night. Some of my friends watch the show and claim it is pretty good. I did catch Lucy on WNKU yesterday. I almost missed it because I thought they were located in the Central Time Zone. It still amazes me that we have the capability to listen to a radio show from KY. Now I'm starting to sound like my parents. In our work cafeteria, they had this tins of mints called "Lucy's Predica-mints." I thought of Doc immediately. Wouldn't you? Anyway, they have a picture of Lucille Ball on them and the mints are little heart shapes inside. I bought a tin for Lucy and was thinking about wrapping them up and giving them to her after the show. What do you think? Do you think that Lucy has had it up to there already with Lucille Ball stuff all her life? Have any of you seen these things? Am I giving her something really common? It's such a little thing, I would not have feelings about NOT giving them to her. Knowing that this list is outspoken, I thought that I would ask. So, opinions please. And yes, I do know that Lucy is very sentimental and gracious and there is probably nothing a fan could give her that would be a mistake. I just want to know if it's goofy... ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 22 Mar 2002 07:42:31 -0800 (PST) From: Simona Loberant Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Opinions please Hey Gina, There's nothing wrong with being a little goofy. I say embrace the goofiness! ANd anyhow, if you are a famous folk singer name lucy married to a guy name rick then you deserve all the lucy and ricky merchandise that you get! I think Lucy will think it cute and won't think you too goofy. Go for it and give it to her. I would say that a small thing that didn't cost you much money but struck you in a special way is great! tell us what her response is to the gift! ~simona Gina wrote: Hi List, Do you think that Lucy has had it up to there already with Lucille Ball stuff all her life?.... I agree with Simona. Somewhere along the line, I somehow became proprietress of nail polish for Lucy. I think she was admiring a shade I wore at a show once, so I got a bottle for her the next time I saw her. It's even to the point where I sometimes get her a "fingernail" color and a "toenail" shade. And of course, she gets brownies (Rosie's Chocolate Orgasms -- I have made LOTS of friends with these brownies) and prettily iced shortbread cookies. Peace, Sheila who will be missing Lucy this weekend for her youth orchestra reunion -- too bad, as it would have been the first Lucy show for the new folk-responsive boyfriend ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 22 Mar 2002 08:48:33 -0800 (PST) From: rpniew Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Opinions please Wait a minute -- wait a minute.
