Lucy made it more than worth my while flying from KS to see this show....even the hell I went through trying to get here (major issues with the airlines ended up having to buy a SECOND ticket just to get there...finally getting there 14 hours after I was supposed to after thinking that I wasn't going to get there at all)...I'd do it again in a second Lucy was amazing and Rick was a sweetheart as usual.. She had no opener and did two sets, the first one had some sound difficulties with this annoying buzz but the second set sounded great. Set One He Thinks I Still Care One Good Reason Don't Mind Me The Tide (yay...my request!!!) Ten Year Night Guilty As Sin Loch Lomand Set 2 The Kid Written on the Back of His Hand Scorpion Secret Journey Land of the Living Hot Burrito #1 (on a gorgeous piano that she said was bigger then her apartment :)) Song About Pi (new parents story about how they met...it was their 51st anniversary) On An Asteroid With You (in honor of their anniversary) Five in the Morning Turn the Lights Back On Still Life By Way of Sorrow E: Guinevere Yep an amazing set, an amazing show....and Lucy and Rick are still the two nicest people in the business!!! *sigh* i am so happy :) Kristen .Get more from the Web. I promised Libby a review...and thankfully she already provided a set list. The show in Charlotte was wonderful. This is now the third time I have seen her live and I enjoyed this one the most. I had not yet heard Land of the Living but was touched by the song and Lucy's introduction beforehand. She talked about her interview with Bryant Gumbel (she thankfully had a good hair day) and made mention of the East Coast's exclusion. She was happy that her parents got to see it in California. Otherwise, she was incredibly down to earth and seemed to truly enjoy the small Charlotte venue. On a personal note, this makes the third Lucy Kaplansky concert that I have been to with a date. All of them seemed to enjoy Lucy but not Lenny. I have 2 tickets to her April show in Vienna, Va, and I think I may go to this one alone :) Lenny ------------------------------ End of lucy-list-digest V4 #68 ****************************** This has been a posting from the Lucy Kaplansky mail list digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe lucy-list-digest" in the body of the message
