And I was worried about being an obsessive fan? I try to spread my enthusiasm out a little. There's always Tom Paxton, Anne Hills (great voice but not necessarily the best audience skills), Michael Smith, etc. I was thinking about that Greg Brown/Lucy Kaplansky duet a little. I think a Greg brown/Tom Waits duet would be more interesting. Their voices would be so low an earthquake could result. rick - --- Sdgold60@aol.com wrote: > you all just dont want me in that mix ... > how many times can i see Lucy in a month in how many > different state > Massachusetts, virginia, new york, new jersey, CT > all covered > > i can add Penn, NH, RI, Vermont with little problem > and then ill cover the midwest.. > > next year.. i can cover the west coast > and maybe ill show up in england and ireland and > scotland > by then lucy will be sick of me... > > the lucy list couple who travelled the furthest > was graham and becky from NJ TO Wales Try FREE Yahoo! I recommend that everybody who likes attending live music pick at least one show per month by somebody you've never heard before. If you do that, you will swiftly have so many "favorites" that one will always be playing nearby. - --On Saturday, March 09, 2002 11:56 AM -0800 rpniew wrote: > And I was worried about being an obsessive fan? I agree completely. That is one of the great things about folk festivals, too, although I've seen a lot of people go crazy about a singer they've seen on stage, buy a whole lot of CDs, and end up never playing them. It is a lonely life being a true folk music fan. rick - --- Tom Neff wrote: > I recommend that everybody who likes attending live > music pick at least one > show per month by somebody you've never heard > before.
