The cd title I thought of is "Group Therapy"<< A tangential comment here. Two summers ago, the City of St. Paul (just one mile and a river crossing away for me) had artists decorate and install 100 statues of Snoopy in honor of Charles Shultz's anniversary (he was a St. Paul native and died recently). The statures all had some clever theme (i.e. in a tuxedo at the theatre, a baseball uniform at the minor league ball park, etc). There were a hundred of them done by a hundred different people installed in a hundred different locations so there was a great deal of creativity displayed. At the end, they put them all on one pedestrian mall for a group viewing, afterwhich they auctioned them off. It was so wildly popular (people running all about town to photograph themselves with the statues) that they repeated it last year with "Charlie Brown About Town". Well, wouldn't you know, but yesterday they announced that "Lucy" is gonna be the subject this year. The brunette psychotherapist known to millions (but not for her singing). We'll have to have a special Lucyka gig here just for the occasion! I'll keep you posted... She would lie across the piano when Linus played the piano and sing along. Now, she was more of a lounge singer and not really folk, but she did leave her mark on the musical cartoon world! Its has not been determined if she ever planned on leaving therapy to pursue her musical career full time, but she seems to be handling both careers well at the moment. :-) ~simona Timothy Bruce wrote: Well, wouldn't you know, but yesterday they announced that "Lucy" is gonna be the subject this year. Do we have any release dates yet? The recent Folkwax magazine has an article about Greg Brown. His favorite kind of music is old gospel songs. He claims that christian music nowadays sounds like you got saved and went to the mall. He hopes if he ever gets saved that he doesn't start writing shitty songs!! I love this guy.
