I thought the parameters were for songs which didn't appear on her own CDs? Goodnight does, as also does I've Just Seen A Face. Dave. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 9 Feb 2002 21:23:23 EST From: Asdalin@aol.com Subject: [lucy-list] Smithsonian Fast Folk CD I got to hear the Smithsonian Fast Folk CD last weekend. It is certainly worth hearing/buying. Most of the cuts are terrific, and very few are forgettable, but that happens with this kind of collection. Some of the performers have never been heard from again, but the good ones just keep getting better (like fine wine). Some of the pieces are the kind that you just keep hitting the repeat button to hear over and over again. Lucy's song is certainly one of those. Happy listening. I've been trying to find it (unsuccessfully) for years. Lucy sings 'You Just Need a Home (Spotlight)' on the new double Smithsonian Fast Folk collection, according to this press release-has anyone heard these CDs yet?-I'm very interested myself" Hey Paul & lucy listers! I had to chime in on this one. Well, my Dad actually has the album, as in that big, flat black thing they used to call 'records' back in the old days :) He has had for like 20 years, he used to see Lucy play at Folk City back then, in the very early 80's. It's very ironic that my parents both knew Lucy from her Folk City days and now 20 years later *I* am also a fan. Life is funny that way I guess. Anyway, the song "You Just Need A Home" is really great. My Dad *LOVES* that song, he tells me he used to play it all the time. :) **Kristen** CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU! Sounds like your show was a success!!
