What's the frequency for KRCB? Assume that neither KRCB nor KRSH stream on the net. Hi. This announcement is for anyone in the Albany area. I was lucky enough to be in Albany this weekend and was given tickets to see "Woody Guthrie's American Song" at the Capital Rep Theater on Pearl Street. If you are able to catch this show, please do. I have not seen such a terrific show in ages. The cast consists of the most amazing singers and musicians, all performing many of Woody Guthrie's songs and giving an interesting overview of his life through son. Here's a tidbit of one of the reviews: A good show is one thing, though, and a good production is another. This is gloriously both. Everyone in the cast is a musician and the instruments pass around as readily as the roles, giving the whole program the atmosphere of a hootenanny. Unabashedly recommended. Michael Eck, Times Union, Albany The end of the review mentions the "atmosphere of a hootenanny." Well, on Friday nights the ENTIRE cast and musicians stay afterward for a real hootenanny. They performed for almost 2 hours after the show ended, and at least 150 audience members stayed for the festivities. I have never seen anything like it in my life! Here's the website so you can check it out --- http://www.capitalrep.org/season/woody.html If you get to see it, you'll be thanking me, I'm sure. Anne PS It's there until Feb 17 -- run, do not walk to see it!! ------------------------------ End of lucy-list-digest V4 #29 ****************************** This has been a posting from the Lucy Kaplansky mail list digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe lucy-list-digest" in the body of the message
