Sharon Thanks for the translation. Glad I wasn't the only one confused. Need to check out RS's new cd. My given name is Lawrence. So lawrence & larry always go together. Libby You never said how to pronounce your name. Is it like Wy bel? When my grandfather got off the boat in the usa and was asked to spell his name, he said K U N C. But the man wrote down kunz and that's how it's been spelled since 1910+/-. It is pronounced exactly as spelled--no O sound, as in koonz. Many people spell it Kuntz. My dad always said, "There is no T in Kunz, just Beer!" I'm 100% bohemium. All 4 of my grandparents were born in what is now the Czech Republic. Good beer there! Hope the KS listers enjoy Lucy's tour dates in February and have good travelling weather. What's the latest plans for the big 40th on 2/16? Soooo...i'm looking for a new place that can do it for a similar price (which was pretty cheap). I will definitely have an order form up by the end of Feb (most likely earlier). And we can work this two ways.... we can 1. Tell her what we're doing for her B'day and as the money comes in, tell her the updates...or 2. We can wait and have the whole the next year to collect the money for next year (or some other time if someone has a suggestion). What do you guys think?? Sorry guys that this is taking so long. AAA is a great thing, especially when you drive cars as old as I and my wife do! AAA makes a plastic key on a card that fits in your wallet. Overall, this probably works better for wallet carriers than purse carriers, as wallets tend to go in pockets. I go through locking keys in my car in phases. If I do it once, it's probably going to happen a couple of more times in the next week. My record was three times in two days, capped off by the "how the f*** did you manage that?" (actual quote from the woman who says she loves me) maneuver of locking the keys in while the car was still running! Also, Libby, here in California, AAA often shows up with an assortment of wines and cheeses for sipping and noshing while the tow truck driver fixes the problem. ;-) Peter ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 25 Jan 2002 20:12:41 -0500 From: Rebecca Gudgin Subject: Re: [lucy-list] lets go for the record How's this? Several years ago on a very cold, very snowy day I started my engine to warm my car and then proceeded to clean the snow and ice off of the windshield, roof, etc. The problem? I'd locked my car...keys in the ignition and the engine running. Tip: In New Jersey the police will come unlock your car if a) the engine is running or b) you've locked a child or an elderly person in the car. Thankfully, she gets airplay on some very smart public radio stations (though I've never had the good fortune of hearing any of them). I can't recall if this ever has been discussed, but has anyone heard any of Lucy's music on a _commercial_ US radio station?
