Subject: [lucy-list] Earle family in Glasgow

Hi folks
             Just got enough time to tell you about the Earles in Glasgow. 
Steve came on first to introduce his son Justin and to sing his song to his 
baby son "Go to sleep little rock and roller". Thats not the title but you'll 
know the one I mean.
Justin ain't no Steve but a damn fine guitarist all the same. With a middle 
name of Townes he certainly has his roots well established. His set was good 
but I didn't think his voice was too strong. Entertaining all the same.
Stacey came on next. Well Stacey was just good old Stacey. She acts like she 
should be locked up for her own protection. She played an absolute blinder 
nontheless. Her subtle guitar playing was fantastic and she always looks as 
if she is having a ball. Missed Marty on backup but we will get the chance to 
see them both in June apparently.
After a break Steve took to the stage. He admitted to being shattered after 
having finished the Landmine tour the night before and I think the party 
afterwards had taken its toll on him. He struggled through a few songs by 
forgetting the words. Angry Young Man was stopped after the chorus "Ahh shit, 
I hate it when this happens, does anyone remember the words to the second 
verse?" He did explain "How the hell am I supposed to remember the words  
when I wrote it on dope"
There were some great moments as well. Justin rejoined his Dad for a few 
songs and Stacey came on too.
It was a good night but I must say the big man was not at his best.
Anyone else from Scotland there?
