Don't know if they're available to rent. Will work on my top 10 this weekend. Looking at everyone else's lists I realize there's a bunch of stuff I didn't buy and I'm not sure I've bought much since Sept. 11th. Now I did move in that time period as well but my list would look different if I'd actually purchased everything I'd intended to get in 2001. Maybe I'll add a "I know these would be on the list if I bought them" category. No Lucy sightings in Northern California for a while. Once again the Kate Wolf Festival is near Mendocino (now a 3-hour + drive not a 1 hour drive) and once again it's during Gay Pride weekend. I did see Lucy's usual bay area side kick this weekend - Nina Gerber. She dazzled as usual. susan in alameda ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Jan 2002 09:04:50 -0600 From: "Timothy Bruce" Subject: [lucy-list] The Doctor Is In Donna wrote: >>>Now to get Lucy to record "More Than This" and how about "If You Could See" on piano! "Lucy Live" sounds good to me<<< I had a pretty funny image a couple years back about a cover for any future Lucy live album. It would be the Peanuts "Lucy" sitting behind her "Psychological Help 5 Cents" booth (maybe with a guitar penciled-in?) and the name of the CD would be "The Doctor Is In". Of course OUR doctor had to grow up through all those Lucy cliches and would probably find the idea somewhat repulsive. Still, it is a humorous image there's no denying. I remember when I was in the chorus of "Carousel" some in my circle of friends thought that musical promoted spousal abuse. I could never quite buy into that. Mesolithic is a humorous song, and I don't think any part of it relates to any kind of reality (unless you believe Fred *DID* get his car started with his feet). That said, humor is certainly subjective and I don't expect anyone to conform to my standards of what is funny. don Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life.
