You will recognise us as 3 men in their 40's. I'll have a light brown leather jacket on and have greying brown hair with a fine baldy bit at the back and wear glasses. Say hello and we can bitch about those who can't make it. Ha Ha. Ian has described himself so as for me, look out for the even more baldy one with glasses. The other Donald will probably have a vague and distant look on his face and be asking questions like "who are we here to see!!" Greetings list-members, I recently heard about a band of four singer-songwriters. They were all women and the band was called, "Voices from ..." and I don't know the rest. I thought I remembered that Lucy Kaplansky might be a member of the band. Am I right? keith Buy the perfect holiday gifts at Yahoo! I haven't heard Rose very much at all, aside from backing up some local artists around Boston, but I enjoy Erin, adore Beth, and Jess ROCKS. I high recommend them all. That's Voices ON the Verge, with Erin McKeown, Beth Amsel, Jess Klein and Rose Polenzani, and no, Lucy isn't in it and hasn't sung with them to the best of my knowledge although individual members have probably appeared on bills with her now and then. The VOV's a/k/a Gabe's Babes are well worth checking out, individually as well as in their group show. - --On Tuesday, December 04, 2001 7:01 PM -0800 Keith Archibald wrote: > I recently heard about a band of four > singer-songwriters. Hmmmm...the only groups, besides C3, that I know that Lucy was a part of were the "Roomates" and "The Song Project" does anyone else know of any others? Roomates was with 2 other women and then "The Song Project" was with a bunch of performers in NYC in the early 80's. Four female singer songwriters? Are you thinking of "Voices on the Verge"??? Jess Klein, Rose Polenzi, Erin McKeown, and Beth Amsel make up that group. Lucy hasn't performed with them but they are fantastic!
