Thus, no fumbling around with pens and crinkling paper to do set lists. All I can report, then, is that it was phenomenal! And the 450+ seat theater was again sold out standing room only for the third year in a row for this annual, early December show. Ben and Lucy together just KICK BUTT! And he knows the songs inside and out. You folks seeing those UK shows in which they will be performing together are in for a treat. One thing that he makes possible is a worthy version of "Every Single Day" which probably wouldn't be layered and dreamy enough with just Lucy and her guitar. Lucy did the ABC song that her father wrote (which is rare) but, even rarer, she did "Nowhere". She played piano on two numbers as I recall (Rae, help me out if I mess up here) "Just You Tonight" and "Promise Me". Other than that, the song selection did not depart too radically from what has been posted in the past two weeks. Her husband Rick was with her. Rae and I had each brought a Rick of our own from home just in case. I'd say, those of you across the pond have a lot to look forward to! She She has actually done the ABC song the last three times I have seen her (San Diego, Chicago and then Madison this weekend). In Madison she did a sing-a-long of Here Comes the Sun in tribute to George Harrison which was pretty awesome. She said it was one of the first songs she learned on the guitar and hadn't played it since then. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 3 Dec 2001 20:58:50 -0000 From: "donald.anderson" Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Lucy at the Cedar ETimothy in south Minneapolis said : I'd say, those of you across the pond have a lot to look forward to! and boy are we looking forward to it - Looks like we will have a big turn out of Scottish Lucy Listers at both Glenfarg and Glasgow and I'm looking forward to seeing the faces of those that we chat away with on the list - Regrettably we won't have anything like the numbers who turned out at the Cedar , 60 max at Glenfarg , but ... it's intimate and it's like having Lucy play in your living room so that'll do for me - and then the Ferry possibily up to 100 ish - well at least there's a stage , unlke Glenfarg whose stage consists of two pallets , and no , I'm not joking Roll on Wednesday & Thursday !!!!!
