I've seen Lucy twice, once in Ogunquit Maine with Cliff Eberhart and once here in Toronto. As a occasional reader of this discussion, I've noticed that there has been a great deal of discussion of Lucy and baked goods. Did you know that her paternal grandparents in Toronto had a bakery? The Health Bakery, to be exact. When she plays here, she reminisces about her childhood visits and the big treat of being able to choose any cookies she wants...... By the way, I enjoyed the earlier discussion about what people are listening to now. Used to see them all (and Lucy and Gorka and Christine Lavin and Cliff and more) at the Speakeasy and Bottom Line and Folk City. Those were the days. I have a tape packed up here of a live show Suzanne did at Folk City to celebrate her first album (yes, an L.P.) Suzanne was the first of the gang to get a record contract. They aired the show on WBAI and they put the album on a chair and it stayed on stage with her for the entire show. I must turn this pc off so I can finish packing. Movers come tomorrow at 7:30am. susan almost in alameda susankrauss@earthlink.net ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 26 Oct 2001 11:52:44 -0400 From: Donna Myers Subject: [lucy-list] Re: Bananas Thanks for the "banana" story.
