I love cheese and I love Lucy!! Maybe this calls for a road trip to the midwest. Speaking of road trips...my husband teased me about getting plane tickets to see Lucy and John Gorka in Alaska this week. We went on a cruise to Alaska and loved it. If I could only get a babysitter!! I saw a great show this weekend- Patti Rothberg and Richard Shindell. I liked Richard's beard. He put on a great show and his new songs are very moving. I spoke to Richard after the show and of course started talking about Lucy. We both mentioned how great ESD is. We also got on the subject of Rick Litvin and agreed how wonderful he is. Right Sharon? Richard told me to say "hi" to Lucy and Rick when I saw them next. Hopefully in November!! I spent the weekend camping and performing at a pagan/renaissance festival. It was a great time, but I came home on Sunday absolutely DOG TIRED. Took a nap around 2:00. Evidentally, in my slumber, my roommate Steve came in... asked if he could move my car... it was blocking his... and I apparently said yup and told him where the keys were. Now... I didn't remember any of this exchange until he told me when i woke up around 6 that evening. But... I do recall having a dream... me opening for Lucy at some show somewhere (yeah right... like that would ever happen!)... but it's a dream, so why not. But anyway... I was up at the microphone... and Steve was in the audience... and I was singing directly to him... "you can have my car.... if you don't mind broken things...." My mind scares me. Maybe I've been listening to a little too much ESD?? *grin* Moral of the story is... always ask me for things while I'm sleeping. :) Libby - -- - ---------------------------------------------------------------- Libby Wiebel | ewiebel@cs.wm.edu | http://www.cs.wm.edu/~ewiebel - ---------------------------------------------------------------- "Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it." - Helen Keller - ---------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 22 Oct 2001 13:15:46 -0700 (PDT) From: Jenny Jones Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Sarah Harmer Yo No cd yet man... i think those nasty mail men stole it. The goat cheese had started to go bad. Here is a great brie recipe for you brie lovers. It sounds kind of gross, but it is really good and easy. You take brie and take the skin off (I do anyway - not fond of the moldy taste). You dump a whole mess of apricot preserves in there (about half cheese and half preserves). Then you put the whole thing in the oven until it melts and gets all bubbly. You can also throw some pine nuts on top if you want, but it's just as good without them. Serve it with some sort of bland bread - like a French baguette. Heaven.
