Last week, on a chilly weekday evening, after putting the wife and child to sleep I gave myself a bit of an attitude adjustment and then went for a short walk to return a children's video to the neighborhood family video store. Whilst there, I felt myself strangely drawn to the Disney classic "Peter Pan". I felt a strange compulsion to take it home. At first I thought, "Hey! the acoustic guitar season is coming to a close in these parts and it may be time to get my "Lucille K." special edition electric guitar out of storage and prepare for the indoor "electric" music parties soon to displace the acoustic parties. I had the strangely creative thought at that moment to play the electric guitar through headphones while watching the "Peter Pan" video. But when I got home, I could not remember where I'd stored all the gear over the summer -- I took five trips out of town, some of them very long, and I sorta hid stuff in unusual places. It's all since been relocated, but it sorta messed-up that plan. So I put "Every Single Day" through the headphones instead and watched Mr. Darling storm about the house during "Written on the Back of His Hand" then Peter and Tink zip around Wendy's bedroom during "Crazy Dreams". The timing was not perfect, but I got a little bit of "Every Single Day (takes a piece of me away)" while Peter flew them out of London to Never-Never-Land. It was eerie.... The songs and scenes fell out of synch about halfway through the experiment and, of course, the CD is quite a bit shorter than the movie. Kids. Don't do this at home. If it's late, read a good book or go to bed instead. - ------ http://USFamily.Net/info - Unlimited Internet - From $8.99/mo! ------ ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 14 Oct 2001 11:20:34 -0400 From: "Kristen Myshrall" Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Has anyone else tried this? -- ESD and Peter Pan It's so nice to know that I'm not the only one on the list that has way too much time on their hands and is trying things like this :) I feel so much better....don't knwo how Lucy's gonna feel about having such an interesting bunch of fans ....
