She said then that it was totally unintentional. - -- Jay Votel ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 26 Sep 2001 17:38:18 -0400 (EDT) From: "Elizabeth (Libby) Wiebel" Subject: [lucy-list] And Ashland, too My triple-Lucy-fest is complete... starting with the Birchmere on the 15th, and then Charlottesville... and then Ashland last night. It was truly a GREAT set of concerts. Lucy did NOT disappoint last night at Ashland Coffee and Tea. 'twas great to see/meet so many lucy-listers... :) And fun to hear some of Lucy's older music... stuff we don't always get to hear! Setlist: Wayfaring Stranger Written on the Back of His Hand One Good Reason 10 Year Night Don't Mind Me Peace Love & Understanding More Than This This is Mine - --- break --- Mary and the Soldier Guilty as Sin Scorpion End of the Day Broken Things Pi Turn the Lights Back On Grievous Angel By Way of Sorrow - --- encore --- Song for Molly The show was complete with Mom stories, Dad stories, and Brian Ferry stories... the place was full... and Susan Greenbaum was a great opener.... and Lucy was excited to be able to say she was wearing a COLOR... a lilac shirt under the black jacket she's been wearing of late... The "corrected" lyrics for "By Way of Sorrow"... on the second time through the "refrain" part... (I think I've got this right....) You have come by way of sorrow You've come over a stony ground But when love calls out your name You will lay your burden down You will lay your burden down Anyway... it was a great night... a great venue... and a great performance. Take care all! I think that our table (ummm... i.e. mostly me) would have been subject to wrath had our table and the one behind us not known the words to the second verse of "This is Mine". I doubt she keeps that promise up beyond last night's show!
