It is almost complete!! I'm just waiting to get a couple more things in the mail to add. So..if you STILL haven't sent in a note or letter for the book and you want to do that you have until Wednesday at 5pm after that the website is going down and i'm going to finalize the book!!! It looks fabulous in my opinion and I hope that she will be as moved by the contents as i am every time i flip through it. Her fans (and friends) have really pulled together and created something extremely special for her. Some of the letters are very moving and the fact that we as a collective group have collected so much Lucy stuff over the years amazes me!!!! At this point I am looking for volunteers to deliver the book. I was trying to fly out to a show to be able to give her the book but unfortunately the prices are a little high for a poor grad student to fly for just a night :) so if you are DEFINATELY going to one of the following shows and you feel like you would like to present her with the book please email me... Edie shares her emotions with her audience, brings tears to their eyes, but knows how to make them laugh at the very right time. Her songwriting is in a category all on its own. - Rich Overton, WERS, Boston "Edie Carey's reputation is well-deserved. She is filled with such high-spirited energy and humor that you can't take your eyes off her. You need to have good stories, good lyrics, and a super-engaging style to pull off truly confessional music, and [she] does it with equal parts love for her audience and star-quality panache." - Jon Sobel, Indiegrrl "I tried to conjure up what it was that would inspire me to dress up in sequins and start performing splits for unsuspecting relatives...that's always a good motivation for a song, right?" - Edie Carey on Call me Home More about Edie! - http://www.ediecarey.com Your hosts, Jodi Sussman and Paula Geno ------------------------------ End of lucy-list-digest V3 #183 ******************************* This has been a posting from the Lucy Kaplansky mail list digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe lucy-list-digest" in the body of the message
