SDGOLD60 actually this is a public list, not a personal chat loop... let's face it, not everyone is obsessed enough to waste the whole holiday noodging for a nostril-hair seat in the stampede zone of an open-air show. Someone wanted to know when Emmylou was playing - my best info is approximately four o'clock. You'll almost certainly be able to hang in the back and get good sound. If you need to know what color the thread in the hem of her jeans was, I'm sure you'll be able to read about it here afterwards. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 3 Jul 2001 15:03:23 -0400 From: "Paul Rafanello" Subject: [lucy-list] Wayfaring Strangers - High On A Mountain I just picked up the Yankee Magazine/Rounder Records compilation entitled "New Music Made In New England". The CD comes with the July/August 2001 issue of Yankee magazine. The CD includes folk and blues artists such as Cheryl Wheeler, Diane Zeigler, Slaid Cleaves, Merrie Amsterburg, and Wayfaring Strangers. After a couple of notes, I recognized Lucy's voice. The track is entitled "High On A Mountain", and it's a winner. The Rounder website had no info on WS. Is this a new track, or is it something Lucy recorded in the mid 90's when she was part of the WS? It's cheap. Yankee magazine was $2.99. It can also be ordered off the Rounder website at www.rounder.com Paul [demime 0.97c removed an attachment of type application/ms-tnef which had a name of winmail.dat] ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 3 Jul 2001 14:08:38 -0700 (PDT) From: Simona Loberant Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Wayfaring Strangers - High On A Mountain You can also listen to all of the full tracks from the CD that comes with the Yankee Magazine at the Rounder records website. The URL for the listening site is http://www.rounder.com/yankeerndr/sound/index.html The quality is quite good. I think you have to make sure to have a recent version of quicktime. ~~Simona Paul Rafanello wrote: I just picked up the Yankee Magazine/Rounder Records compilation entitled "New Music Made In New England".
