Yesterday's show featured Lucy and several other "Nod to Bob" artists doing their songs from the CD live in the studio. Next week, they will be focusing on the music of Levon Helm, and the in-studio guest will be someone who has been known to communicate with us here- Martha Trachtenberg. Since Martha hasn't plugged her own CD lately, I'll do it for her. Greetings my fellow Lucy-listers, or should I say 'Goddesses'? *Some* of you will know what I mean :) Anyway, I was lucky enough to attend two Lucy shows last week. The Brokerage show on out Long Island with Sharon & Beney, and The Bottom Line (Sat. show with Buddie & Julie Miller) with Sharon, Beney & Donna. I have to say that both shows were incredible-Lucy sounded amazing! I had originally planned on posting reviews for the shows but I decided I didn't need to since my fellow listers did such a great job with their reviews...not to mention the fact that I'm too lazy:) However, I did keep track of Lucy's set list for the Bottom Line (Sat-show), here it is: The Angels Rejoiced in Heaven Last Night End Of The Day Written On The Back Of His Hand Don't Mind Me One Good Reason 10 Year Night No More Excuses To Be Nowhere *WOW! This gave me chills!!* More Than This *Once again, chills! Major chills!!!** Five In The Morning Turn The Lights Back On Swimming Song *Hey Timothy, are you reading this :) * Encore- Song For Molly Lucy's band members included John Harrington on guitar-damn, can he play!! Ben Whitman on drums(who is also the producer of Lucy's new cd). I can't remember the bass player's name-Paul Brady? It was an incredible night, Lucy was in perfect pitch and even came out and sang with Buddie & Julie Miller for 'By Way of Sorrow'. WOW! After seeing Buddie & Julie for the first time, I am now officially a fan of their music! After the show I picked up Julie's 'Broken Things', and I can't stop listening to it! :) I hope everyone reading this will get out and see Lucy the next chance you can! Enjoy!
