I'm in St. Louis and back on March 11th Alice Peacock warmed up for Lucy Kaplanski at Generations in St. Louis. I went and was exposed to both of these great singer song writers. I thought I perhaps would never see her again with the looks of her schedule maybe never come back to St. Louie. Was hoping to* It has changed my life. I saw AP again in the Gargoyle @ Washington University - St. Louis for the 2nd time at the luck of a change in singers and it was one of my favorite concerts ever. I knew then I was hooked as an AP fan. Next show close to me was in DeKalb which I too made, just this past Friday night. I drove there and it was worth the drive. There was another great young singer song writer named Gina Holsopple who opened up for Alice Peacock in "The House" DeKalb Illinois. Wow what singing. I bought her CD and spoke with her. She is from manhattan New York. I hope to see her again. Ever hear her? But for real! checkout AP! Her website is http://www.alicepeacock.com I wish so much to have her & Lucy K. come back and play for us all in St. Louie. I love the way she sings. Alice played with Lucy in the Moore Study Lounge in Beloit, WI couple times earlier this month of April. Has anybody seen Lucy sing when she had Alice along? Let me know any stories about the show, I'd love to hear them or what you think about her music. I've got a few. Does Lucy and Alice ever sing the same song together? I'd like to hear a duet, is that what it is? I just thought I'd chime in. Many of the notes I get, I can not relate to cause I'm in the mid-west and it seems like I'm missing out on all the fun. Alice plays in Portland and Seattle in May with John Gorka. I'd love to hop on a plane and see that show, my sis lives in Seattle, another reason for me to go, not that I'm justifying the trip but what the hey~ well gotta go! Trachtenberg" Subject: Re: [lucy-list] the big time... in Tucson? Hi, Listers, A bit of self-promotion here (you can now zip to the trash bin if you'd prefer). I'm going to be playing the Tucson Folk Festival this coming weekend, on Sunday, opening for Jimmy Lafave at 7:30. I come with the Lucy seal of approval, and our own Sharon G. likes me, too . . . So. If there are any listers thereabouts, please come by and say hello. The only other person I'll know out there is the woman who hired me. Thanks, cheers, Martha T. ------------------------------ End of lucy-list-digest V3 #93 ****************************** This has been a posting from the Lucy Kaplansky mail list digest To unsubscribe send mail to Majordomo@smoe.org with "unsubscribe lucy-list-digest" in the body of the message
