Golly! I learn so many new words from this list! I need a dictionary to keep up! "Dominatrix"....."Rider's crop".....but there's one which still puzzles me. Back in Cry Cry Cry days, Lucy refered to herself as a "Ho for harmony". Anybody know what she meant by that? (tongue in cheek). I can't seem to find it in my dictionary. (Maybe I'm spelling it wrong....All I can find is "the symbol for the element Holmium" and "a popular scale for Lionel Trains".) ETimothy FYI....Many of you may have received this very recently from Bob Feldman at Red house.... "The new John Gorka album "The Company You Keep" just came in. It will be in the stores starting March 13th or you can get it by calling us toll free at 1-800-695-4687.... This is John's eighth album and I feel that it is his best. He had a great time making it right here in the twin cities. The cd is a refreshing mix of arrangements and voices, both expected ones---longtime collaborators Lucy Kaplansky sings with him on five songs, Michael Manring on bass, and Peter Ostroushko on fiddle---as well as new faces like Ani DiFranco, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Patty Larkin." So Bob says five songs and he should know. Wow! Five is a WHOLE lot--should almost call for co-billing! I guess I shoudn't have been surprised when I discovered they would be appearing together in July. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 2 Mar 2001 17:50:13 -0500 From: patrick t power Subject: [lucy-list] Dar Williams in East Lansing Dar Williams will be presented by the Ten Pound Fiddle Coffeehouse at Michigan State University's Wharton Center (East Lansing, Michigan) on Friday, March 16.
