Hmmm...<< I know everyone gets such a kick out of hearing that 'Swimming Song' that I am surprised it does not appear to be making the cut. You can actually "hear" Lucy's naughty smile as she sings it! But I wouldn't be surprised if there's some unspoken upper limit on covers for the new album. By the way, I wouldn't expect "Small Dark Movie" to be on this album because it's actually being recorded for a particular future album. I am now enjoying WFUV on my computer both at WORK (where the upgrade to Windows 2000 made that trick finally work on my machine) and at home, where I gave my resident alien wife a flashy new computer with internet access for Christmas. I noted with glee that Ms Kaplansky is going to have an interview/live in-studio performance a week from today (Monday, Jan 15th between 8 and 9 Eastern Time.) I can't believe I scooped Sharon on that! A final request. Does anyone have any suggestions about cheap or free internet access providers? I signed-up for MSN when I bought the new hardware and have a month to opt-out of the deal. As that date approaches, I realize that I am not nearly pleased enough with the connection and speed to warrant paying the price. Any advice sent to me off-list would be appreciated. Thanks! Ella Anne wrote, > anyone planning on going to the show at Camden > County > College in Blackwood, NJ????? I thought I'd take that as my cue to introduce myself, although I think some folks know me from the Dar and Richard Shindell lists at this address, and from Melissa Ferrick, Indigo Girls, Catie Curtis, Nields and SONiA/disappear fear from AOL. Yeah, I just ordered my ticket online last night and I am looking forward to going! I toyed with the idea of going about an hour and 20 minutes to see the Nields sisters (aka the Probe), but Lucy is about 20 minutes from my home. Can't pass that up! South Jersey gets so few cool people, compared to the Big City. I was wondering if folks wanted to try to meet up for dinner beforehand. There used to be a TGIFriday kind of place really close by (steaks, burgers, etc.), but I'm not sure if it is still there. There also are a couple other places wihtin a 5-10-minute drive. Looking forward to seeing you all at the show. Take care, Deb Yahoo! Sharon, I didn't hear an announcement yet. It is on the printed schedule on the WFUV website. An excerpt: 8-9 PM, Words and Music from Studio A: Darren DeVivo welcomes Lucy Kaplansky to the studio for an encore interview and performance. Uh oh! , it appears it may be a repeat (to others, not me!) I hope not. I really think she would have a lot to say during the month she is putting the tracks down for her new CD. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 8 Jan 2001 14:45:39 EST From: CornflakeGirl79@aol.com Subject: Re: [lucy-list] RE: lucy-list-digest V3 #3 Actually I seem to recall her saying at the Helsinki show that the song was going to be on the new album...but maybe i misunderstood :) Kristen > By the way, I wouldn't expect "Small Dark > Movie" to be on this album because it's actually being ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 8 Jan 2001 14:53:23 EST From: CornflakeGirl79@aol.com Subject: [lucy-list] WFUV tonight Is anyone planning on recording the WFUV show and burning it onto a cd??
