I mention this because Karen's superb CD, "Tracking Of Time" was produced by Nina Gerber, whose guitar playing (as well as other instruments) on the record is just great. I would recommend Karen's record to anyone--she plays a pretty mean bottleneck slide as well as finger picking style guitar as well. Since Karen lives in New Jersey now, a former northern Californian, go figure, hopefully soon people in the New York, New Jersey area will begin to take notice of her. She's a joy and a super person to boot. She will also be relaeasing a cd in the future. The song by Greg Brown, "Kate's Guitar" is about Nina playing Kate Wolf's guitar which is now owned and played by Nina. It's a beautiful song. Info on Nina's future release can be seen at KateWolf.com. The cd will be a benefit for music education in schools and donations are welcomed. Anyway, go see her when she plays with Lucy - you'll be getting a double treat.
