You know, if *everyone* included an entire copy of the message they were replying to when posting to the list, instead of editing out all but the relevant references, all our mailboxes would be full of junk like this. I already got the message you replied to. I don't need it again. Sure, I can scroll past it, but multiply that scrolling by the entire list membership, and compare it with how long it would take *you* to cut and paste selectively. Let's try and show a little consideration, people. Please? Dave. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 8 Sep 2000 20:49:03 +0100 From: "Dave McKay" Subject: [lucy-list] RE: 3.6% New Content > You know, if *everyone* included an entire copy of the message > they were replying to when posting to the list, instead of editing > out all but the relevant references, all our mailboxes would be > full of junk like this. Okay, so the List Gnome completely messed up the point I was trying to make by removing the entire digest I'd *deliberately* quoted at the end of my original post. Try to imagine it. Big long redundant requote. No editing whatsoever. Dave. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 9 Sep 2000 01:50:40 EDT From: Fantine729@aol.com Subject: [lucy-list] Lucy on WUMB and Kevin So On my way to a Kevin So double-header this evening, who else should I hear cross the airwaves but our Lucy.....singing Return of the Grievous Angel. And tonight, Kevin mentioned opening for Lucy in Haverhill this past June....prompting applause from a whole three of us. If anyone hasn't checked out Kevin So yet, DO. He gives an unbelievable show, doesn't need a haircut (if you care about such things) and looks HOT in black leather pants (if you care about such things :-) His songs are passionate and thought-provoking, many reflecting on his life as an Asian-American, and a few very poignant new ones about his dad, who recently passed away. Kevin is also perhaps the only guy I know of who can pull off covering Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Guests tonight included Kyle Shiver (who opened for him as well), Stephanie Corby, Eric Schwartz and Jeff someone, whose last name I am completely blanking on. Kevin is also big on audience participation, which makes for a fun evening. I attended both the seven and ten o'clock shows tonight, and have tickets to see him tomorrow night as well. Check him out!! http://www.kevinso.com.
