In a way I am glad I missed that hysterical moment because between my laughing convulsions and the thin mountain air, I may very well have asphyxiated myself! I got a chance to talk at length to my guitar friend Joel at a campfire sing-a-long last night and he raved about the festival (which he flew to and then used public transportation--with mixed results!) He was chock full of interesting details (like Rick Litvin's sunglasses) and made the whole road trip seem very appealing (even the part about sleeping in a public park in Boulder and the sprinkler system coming on at 3:00 AM, soaking everybody). Hi all, Just in case there are any Lucy-listers who aren't already Dar fans, I urge to to run, not walk, to your local independent record store and get Dar's new album. Lyrically, heartfully, musically, honestly, and truthfully -- it is amazing. I guess our list has been so quiet because Lucy hasn't been around? Any new Lucy anecdotes, anyone? I miss Lucy shows. I checked to see if she'd be in California while I was out there, but, alas, no such luck. That would have been cool -- maybe she would have brought out her dad. Midwestern(OH,IN,KY) Lucy-listers won't want to miss the Sept. 30th show at the Univ. of Dayton's Sears Recital Hall. This is a very nice, intimate hall that holds ~100-150.
