I know it's a bit last minute, but I thought I'd throw a description of myself out there if anyone wants to come say hi! I'm wearing white shorts and a pink Indian-print tank top. Dark hair, glasses, overweight. I will be there with bells on, literally, as I wear an ankle bracelet with bells on it on my right ankle. I'll be attending by myself and company is always nice!! Peace, Sheila }i{ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 5 Aug 2000 01:47:22 EDT From: Fantine729@aol.com Subject: [lucy-list] Newport show I've just dragged my butt back from Newport....it was a GREAT show, with Lucy, Cliff Eberhardt, John Gorka and Cheryl Wheeler. This was the first time I have ever heard or seen Cheryl Wheeler, and my chin is STILL in my lap, both because of her songs and her angelic voice, AND because she's CHERYL (or Ms. Wheeler, as John kept referring to her because he said otherwise she would "whupp" him"). They did a round robin type of thing, and Lucy sang (IN this order...I remembered to write down a set list this time!): Ten Year Night, The Movie Song, Scorpion, By Way of Sorrow, and Promise Me. Everyone kept joining each other for everyone else's songs, and it looked like they were all having a ball. Lucy and John had a cute little chorus line choreography going for Cheryl's finale, The Handy House. I wish I could offer what everyone else sang, but this was my first time hearing John and Cheryl, and I've only had my first Cliff CD for a week. Lucy, of course, looked wonderful, and, as John noted, she was having a good hair day. She then mentioned that this was two days in a row, since it was a good hair day for the CBS show too! That's all for me tonight....I get to see all four of them again tomorrow in Lowell!!
