I was not sure what to expect when I saw the place. The small setting was truly intimate and I was so close to them that during the show on several occasions, I thought how truly lucky I was to see these two. This was my second time to see Lucy and a first time for Richard. I would have liked to hear Lucy do Broken Things and maybe a few other of my favorite ones but then I got to hear Richard and his songs and decided that I had no right to complain. This was only a 45 min trip for me and there was an announcement about Lucy doing a show at Hollins University in Oct. I cant wait for this one its right in my backyard. So, happy shes coming closer just hope it continues. IM hoping once Roanoke opens their new amphitheater it will open a door for these extremely talented people. mlr ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Jun 2000 10:11:52 -0400 From: Wayne Markert Subject: Re: [lucy-list] Lime Kiln Show, Lexington, VA Folks: I agree with all that has been said about the Lime Kiln show. It was a magical moment, as both Lucy and Richard said as well. It was great to get the Cry, Cry, Cry fell, new songs from Richard's new CD, and so many wonderful Lucy Songs. I wish she has asked for "requests" as Richard did. I was one of those who wanted to hear "Cold Missouri Waters." We are happy that we have managed to get Lucy to Hollins next fall. It should be an equally magical evening. Wish we could have that in scotland...but then, it wouldn't be a rain delay, it would be a rain cancellation.
